Action Plan Download
Florida developed its statewide action plan, Livable Florida, with a goal of increasing the number of individual communities who participate in the Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. The state's Department of Elder Affairs acts as a leader, connecting communities, agencies, and organizations to help Floridians live well and age well, and works to identify and form partnerships with private and public entities to create and sustain the age-friendly initiative. Through Livable Florida, statewide age-friendly work centers on increasing awareness of the plan and supporting local age-friendly work. Additionally, Livable Florida will facilitate partnerships and relationships to increase collaboration on initiatives such as age-friendly universities, age-friendly business and employer designations, and securing more resources.
