Action Plan Download

Fort Lauderdale developed its action plan in collaboration with community groups and the city's Aging Council. The action plan commits Fort Lauderdale to do more events for older adults, including programs like public fitness classes, and to improve ADA implementation to create parks and public spaces that are more inclusive for adults with disabilities. In addition, the plan calls on the city to expand public transit, designate new bike routes to encourage safer bicycle and pedestrian activity, implement Vision Zero to improve safety in roadways, and encourage transit-oriented development.
