This project added two tennis courts to the Chautauqua Institution's campus. One of the courts can be converted into two pickleball courts as needed. Pickleball -- a mashup of tennis and ping-pong, is a popular sport among older adults, since the game is both low-impact and fast-faced.

Description: Centennial Park lacked accessible seating and sheltered space, limiting how often residents, especially older adults, could comfortably use the park. The City of Melba addressed that gap by adding an ADA-accessible gazebo with nearby parking and a connecting sidewalk. Community volunteers, many age 50 or older, helped plan the site, prepare the area and complete painting and finishing work. The structure began drawing use even before it was finished, with residents stopping to rest, eat lunch and gather. By adding permanent, accessible infrastructure through resident-led effort, the project expanded everyday park use and created a dependable place for connection that will serve the community over time.

Description: When the City of Corry developed its long-term strategic plan, one of its primary objectives was improving access to greenspace. Most residents live more than a ten-minute walk from local parks and trails. To better connect neighborhoods to a local greenway, Impact Corry transformed an underused, overgrown pathway into an accessible trail. Volunteers worked to install amenities along the route, including benches designed by local artists and a pollinator-friendly gardens. Project organizers also added solar-powered crossing beacons street intersections to keep pedestrians and cyclists safe.
