Action Plan Download
Augusta developed its action plan in collaboration with the Augusta age-friendly council. The action plan commits to a vision of making the community the best place to live and work for everyone, and directs services to improve living conditions for the 55+ community. Augusta commits to investing in the eight domains of livability by insuring that there are a full range of accessible, affordable and secure housing options, outdoor spaces and activities that are accessible and secure, transit that is safe and affordable, and health services and education to promote healthy behavior.

Improve transportation infrastructure by acquiring fuel efficient and electric buses, replacing bus shelters and bus infrastructure, reinstating a metro system, and improving pedestrian crossings at high traffic intersections.Housing
