Fruita developed its action plan focused on three strategic outcomes quality of place, economic health, and lifestyle. Under each of these headings, the plan looks to cross cut with the eight domains of livability to focus on specific parts of community life. For quality of place, Fruita will strive to be a bike and pedestrian friendly community with safe and high quality neighborhoods. For economic health, the community will strive to be financially sustainable and support businesses that provide well-paying jobs. And for lifestyle, Fruita will foster a fun ambiance by celebrating local arts, farm and ranching history, unique leisure opportunities, and family-friendly events and activities.
