Older adults in Watertown faced eviction risks and housing instability, often without access to traditional rental assistance. To address this, the city launched a Tenancy Preservation and Community Support Program, hosting workshops on eviction prevention, tenant rights and affordable housing options. Partnerships with legal and housing agencies expanded resources, and 18 older adults received direct financial aid to prevent crises. The program strengthened community ties and empowered older adults to advocate for themselves. One participant shared that the workshops "helped me feel less alone and more prepared."

Description: Older homeowners in Dallas risked losing homes because unclear property titles blocked aid and made aging in place difficult. Beloved responded with education sessions and media outreach that reached hundreds of people, helped 10 individuals complete Transfer on Death Deeds and distributed fireproof document keepers to safeguard vital records. These steps prompted families to address tangled titles and secure property rights. One participant, after three years of struggling to fix her fathers deed, said she was "excited there was a partner willing to help," and now has the resources to achieve resolution.

Description: For years, Posada worked with unhoused residents of Pueblo to help them find temporary and permanent housing. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, however, those served by Posada were even more in crisis, so the organization shifted its resources to emergency needs such as food aid and rent and utility assistance. Posada also began renovating a former motel into single-room-occupancy units for older adults experiencing homelessness. When completed, the former Sunset Motel will include 17 units, and its residents will have convenient access to case managers and supportive services, including health care.

Description: Pedestrian safety in Cambridge's Alewife area was hindered by poor crossings and limited accessibility, making it harder for older adults to navigate safely. Green Cambridge organized a walk audit and community tour, engaging residents and producing a report with the National Park Service to guide improvements. The audit raised awareness and informed recommendations for safer connections, with a demonstration project planned to act on these findings. Community involvement strengthened advocacy for inclusive design and laid the groundwork for lasting improvements.

Description: The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, which serves residents in Boston's low-income Roxbury and North Dorchester neighborhoods, created virtual spaces for intergenerational dialogue on community issues. To do this, the organization hosted a series of workshops, forums and support groups where residents could see one another and share their experiences. Because the area is home to many Cape Verdean and Latino families, DSNI provided interpretation services. They also provided technical support to those who needed it. One highlight was an in-person listening session held at one of Roxbury's last remaining vacant lots, where DSNI recorded residents talking about their needs and concerns. The organization has since added other virtual programming, including a monthly book club.
