Action Plan Download
Tucson developed its action plan with the goals of improving the quality and accessibility of public parks and green spaces, expanding on transportation options, and increasing the supply of affordable, accessible housing. Tucson supports affordable housing for older adults by increasing the distribution of federal grants to low-income seniors, and expand housing options for adults with disabilities, and those who want to age-in-place, by providing financing for home improvements to enhance home accessibility. The plan also works to combat social isolation among its older residents by promoting volunteering and active programs.
