Action Plan Download
Sunnyvale developed its action plan as an opportunity to assess its existing programs and learn about gaps in services or duplication of efforts with other community partners. The action plan's goals are to create a safe, accessible city for all ages; improve mobility options for older adults; provide an avenue for older adults' input on future housing policies and projects; accommodate the diverse needs and culture of older adults; decrease the stigma of aging and ensure that older adults remain engaged; increase opportunities for older adults to contribute their skills; improve communication strategies to disseminate information to more residents; provide services and programs that support aging in place; ensure that older adults are involved in emergency preparedness; adapt services and programs to support the changing needs of the city's population; increase access and use of technology.
