Progress Report Download
St Louis County's age-friendly progress report focuses on health, mobility and accessibility, and social and civil engagement. The initiative has updated local community health disease profile data on the Department of Public Health website. In partnership with Metro Transit, the county also completed a comprehensive analysis of the MetroBus system from the perspective of older adults. Input from transit users and the public, along with information collected from the analysis, allowed Metro planners to identify enhancements to the transit system and develop a new service plan to improve the older adult customer experience, increase access to destinations throughout the system, and address future mobility needs. St. Louis has also created new programming to facilitate intergenerational opportunities, including establishing a Children's Garden Club and community gardens.
