Action Plan Download
Santa Clarita developed its action plan using its community master plan as a guide, focusing on the creative, orderly development and management of parks, recreation facilities, programs and open space for older adults. The community has focused on acquiring additional parkland and open space, improving trail connectivity, and increasing resident access to recreational facilities, including basketball courts, sports fields, playgrounds, community centers, open spaces and trails.
Action Plan Highlights

Increase gathering spaces for community use that can be adjusted with shifts in user needs and trends.Respect and Inclusion
Enhance facilities for multi-functional use and multi-generational programming.Communication and Information
Engage older residents and promote city programs, events, and park amenities by creating mobile apps and implementing a new marketing plan.
