Action Plan Download
San Francisco County, along with the city of San Francisco, developed an action plan that seeks to protect its most vulnerable aging populations, particularly older adults and people with disabilities at risk of homelessness. The plan commits to improving the transportation system by making transit information more available online, in print, and in transit kiosks, as well as analyzing how ride sharing can benefit seniors. The plan directs county departments to build more green spaces in economically marginalized communities, create more public events in existing public parks, and modify sidewalks and cross-sections to ensure that they are pedestrian-friendly and disability-friendly. San Francisco County will also invest in resiliency, natural disaster, and emergency preparedness.
Action Plan Highlights

Invest in natural disaster resiliency and emergency preparedness measures, including expanded efforts to decrease response timing for older adults and people with disabilities in emergency situations.Transportation
