North Yarmouth developed its action plan with the original goal of analyzing aging in place resources for town residents. The scope of the action plan has subsequently broadened to encompass the idea of increasing the feeling of community within North Yarmouth by providing enhanced information about town events and issues, creating more opportunities for social interaction, and changing town ordinances to allow for more age-friendly housing options within existing neighborhoods. Ultimately, the plan is committed to embracing all people in the town, regardless of age or ability.
