Action Plan Download
The county and city of Los Angeles developed their action plan through their Purposeful Los Angeles (PALA) initiative. The plan aims to integrate a diversity focus to enhance civic participation and employment, improve communication services, and centralize communication with locals. The plan also looks to Increase access to affordable housing with more funding for mixed income developments. PALA also aims to improve transit for residents of all ages and encourage walking and biking through improved signage and vision zero initiative.

Establish a pathway to county employment for older workers through an older adult internship program.Health and Community Services
Direct all county and city departments to consider dementia-friendly criteria when implementing new programs. Partner with community organizations to develop an alternative to 9-1-1 for older adults reporting non-medical emergencies.Housing
Develop housing assistance for medium- and low-income older adults that provides services like rent gap assistance, housing repairs, home retrofits and other supports to prevent homelessness and encourage aging in place. Update zoning to incorporate universal design and multigenerational housing."
