Action Plan Download
Hyattsville developed its action plan focusing on housing, health and safety, home and community-based services, and communications and information. The plan looks to ensure that Hyattsville residents will have housing options to meet their changing needs and preferences as they age, and that older residents can live in their homes and move about the community free from barriers and violence of any kind. The plan also works to provide Hyattsville residents with coordinated, community-based support that will allow them to age safely and with dignity in the community.
Action Plan Highlights
Housing
Advocate for more affordable and accessible housing options like ADUs by working with the county on housing regulations and zoning.Health and Community Services

Increase public transportation options for older adults and people with disabilities, especially in areas with high population densities, high crime rates, and large commercial areas.
