Eastport has developed an action plan that commits to making its outdoor spaces more usable by older residents by creating more accessible trails and better sidewalks. Eastport is also investing in expanding transit options by allowing ride share apps in the downtown, as well as creating better connections to bus routes. Additionally, Eastport will expand its housing stock by updating its zoning regulations to allow accessory dwelling units, and educating homeowners on home renovation options.
