Orange County developed its action plan along with the Orange County Department on Aging. The plan makes Orange County a place where structures and services can be adapted to be accessible and inclusive of older adults with varying needs and abilities. The plan covers a wide range of topics including communication and information, housing, and outdoor spaces and buildings.

Cumberland, Maine has made progress in improving the quality of life for older adults in the community. They now have a full-time staff member for Active Living 55+ and have access to a recreation center for morning programming. The Cumberland Area Rides (CAR) program provided 318 rides in 2022 and 9 new drivers since November 2022. They also have Handy Helpers to do minor chores and simple handyman assignments. The Village Green Apartments have monthly BINGO, fire department health talks, shopping trips, and rides to community programs. In 2023, new programs include winter safety kits, a monthly singing group, free luncheons, and updated resource guides.
