This project will activate a pedestrian alley connecting City Hall with a nearby senior center. The city will gather the community's feedback on two design options for the space, which will incorporate seating, shade structures and outdoor games.

Description: The library will transform an unused patch of grass into a memorial garden featuring flowers, an arbor and a gazebo. The space will be accessible for people who use wheelchairs or walkers, as well as for older adults.

Description: This project replaced a gazebo and pergola on the grounds of Hillcrest Towers, a high-rise for older adults and people with disabilities. It also added new seating, raised garden beds, solar lighting and an outdoor projector and screen.

Description: The project will transform the library greenspace into a safer, more accessible area for Center Harbors older adults, friends, families, and visitors. It will include picnic tables, umbrellas, and Adirondack chairs to encourage socializing, picnicking, reading, and enjoying nature.

Description: To help residents of Salem get around town, this project activated a vacant downtown storefront to create a pop-up summer program. Free and available to people of all ages and abilities, the program provided hands-on educational opportunities to help assist residents -- and especially older adults -- navigate the local public transit system. It also assisted participants find their way around downtown Salem.
