Action Plan Download
West Sacramento and its city council developed their action plan to provide a framework for action items that benefit the older population, and by extension, all residents. The plan is designed to facilitate a long-term paradigm shift at all levels of thedecision-making process, viewing all city activities through the lens of age-friendliness. The plan contains 20 implementation items that span multiple domains of livability, from the built environment, to transportation and housing, to social services like health care and access to information.

HousingDevelop more affordable housing by applying for federal and state tax credits. Enhance supportive housing programs for homeless residents.
Outdoor SpacesMaintain parks and encourage volunteerism by coordinating neighborhood clean-ups of public spaces.
