West Chester's approach to its action plan heavily relies on community outreach. Collaborating with AARP, West Chester's plan expands on health services, civic engagement through promotions, and new learning opportunities for older adults. The plan also commitments to enhancing West Chester's Meal on Wheels program to directly service their aging population, as well as expand their food bank. Additionally, the plan looks to expand an innovative iLearn program, which partners undergraduates with an older adult resident for mentoring and research to both study and better combat ageism in society.
