Action Plan Download
San Jose developed its action plan based on multiple community assessments, surveys, and focus groups, in partnership with an age-friendly advisory council comprised of representatives from business, industry, civic, educational, legislative and other organizations. The action plan was further informed by meetings with representatives from each city Department to discuss existing and possible future age-friendly initiatives, along with a study of other community action plans. The plan focuses on civic participation and employment, communication and access to information, and housing.
Action Plan Highlights
