Action Plan Download
Minneapolis developed its action plan by identifying the three initial priority areas of housing, transportation, and health and wellness. The plan aims to affirm and improve all housing options for Minneapolis residents as they age, strengthen, and promote safe transportation options that meet the needs of all Minneapolis residents, and expand participation of older adults in health and wellness initiatives throughout the community.
Action Plan Highlights
-
housing
Provide new housing options for a variety of desires, needs, and budgets by supporting new housing models like ADUs. -
Transportation
Grow transportation options by expanding rideshare, repealing regulations that inhibit certain volunteer- and membership-based transportation organizations and initiatives from operating, and implementing best practice models like Complete Streets. -
Health and Community Services
Prevent patient decline associated with hospitalization by improving post-discharge follow-up and increasing support for home visiting services.
